Seen at the ecological reserve of Xochimilco, Mexico City. Economic bad times apparent at the park; the parks administration fired maintenance staff allowing for huge amounts of growth at portions of the park.

An oasis I get to more frequently than any other portion of Mexico City since I made it my new home.

Guess some of you have noticed I've stayed away from people photos recently. Hope to post some soon though. Three most recent images were made downtown, Mexico City on separate visits. I can't get enough of the Centro Historico and decided to share what I enjoy most of the buildings in the area.

The skull is used as a container by the garbage guys. They take your garbage; you drop some pesitos in honor of them doing so.

The old red Chevy I love parked on a cool-looking, grimy corner of Itzapalapa, Mexico City. Can't help but enjoy how the car and place seem to have been made for each other.

Been bogged down with loads of work so been picking and pulling from my HD. Just got the chance to shoot this weekend so I'll be posting something from that this week --hopefully. Feeling a bit down for having become a sort of weekend photographer in the past year, but priorities are what they are.

Staircases that span about 500 years into Mexico City's past at the Catedral, Zocalo.

Some may wonder what is it that makes me focus so much on the "seemingly" old, tattered, and tawdry of Mexico City. The assumption, if ever made, is only that: an unfounded misconception. For me these places are encyclopedic, exhaustive manifestations of entropy's work on all that is --in our sphere of existence at least. In other words, all good things --inexorably-- come to and end.
