Ephemeral Visions

Transcending ephemerality through the lens and imagery.

¿Vives Mejor? (Do You Live Better?)

Do you live better?

Seen on Juarez Ave., downtown here in Mexico City. The signs cry out against the governmental injustices against labor and the people by right-wing politcians and the political system in general.

this is great, the inclusion of the 2 people reading the words makes it even more pertinent. As ever the high contrast B&W works a treat

Denis, thanks; the writing is a diatribe coordinated against the powers that be in business and government. It's a never-ending story across the globe. I think the governed are just as much to blame as the elite in places of power. People don't get worked up about the real issues until a crisis hits home. I hear people saying that with “great power comes great responsibility”, and this goes for the governed as for the government. Being able to vote means we should become informed or make the effort to understand the issues and the people who seek to represent us in their respective seats of power. Most people could put up with a tyrant as long as that tyrant does not interfere with putting food on their plate and allowing access to the most basic of human needs and desires.
