Ephemeral Visions

Transcending ephemerality through the lens and imagery.

Notes

pen and notes

A Sunday breather for different subject matter. Used my Canon G9' amazing macro mode for this while taking a break from some research and notetaking.

“well, I found a bunch of letters / They were written for the fellow / Who broke your momma’s heart / And the envelope fold smelled of her ancient perfume” (Whiskeytown)

Blessed are te notetakers. A great picture, Luis, because of the analogue feel to it in these digital times. A reason why I still listen to my old vinyl is the analogue feel. Beautiful image, like it a lot!

All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

Fritsch, I first picked up a camera in the mid 80s and I did mostly black and white with high ISO –very grainy stuff. I miss it, and have noticed an obsession with tack sharp and clear photography in our time. It has its place, but I don’t feel it has to be like that all the time.

Thanks. Hope your week is off to a pleasant start.

Ekios, sure would like to see your results. If I were as smart as you say I am I would hope to be at least a millionaire by now :) Looks like I need to use my smarts somewhere else…

    Cheers!

I love old fountain pen, but this one was a Christmas gift in 1996. I’ve enjoyed using fountain pens since my late teens. I don’t use them all the time, but the writing experience is quite pleasing especially on the right paper.

    Thanks, Tamara. Take care.

Gesa, I can’t get myself to do it the new way (i.e. iphone, ipod, notebook…). I end up doing it this way first and then passing it on to my mindmap software on the computer. Thanks! Cheers!
