When Sadness Strikes Paradise

Angelica en la playa.

Schedule in recent two months has kept on a 12-hour per day cycle of continuous activity. For me it's work first then fun, but it seems like that fun is so, so out of reach. Here's something from my visit --last year-- to the beach of Cazones on the coast of Veracruz, Mexico.

Wheels

A moment at Cazones, Veracruz. Liked this old wagon sitting at the porch of my wife's cousin's beach house.

Eat Me

crab

From a day of crab fishing in Cazones, Veracruz. The locals go out into the wee hours of the night to catch more mature critters like this one. Sadly, they've been depleting the population to the extent that its become nearly impossible to run into abundant catches. Seeing the fishermen go out into the evening with only the silhouette of them and their nets being cast into the waters with billowy clouds against a full moon is a sight to behold. Hard to fathom seeing that come to an end someday in the near future.

Felt the need to break the black and white mode.

Tajin – Veracruz, Mexico

Prehispanic ruins at Tajin, Veracruz. Spent a few days in the area in stifling Summer weather that characterizes the region.

Captivated by the sand…

Another pulled from the hard drive. This was shot in August while spending a few days break at the eastern coast of Mexico in Veracruz.

Someday is too far away…

She was shy and refused to look into the camera.

Tired of the water? Well, then onto the sand...

Heading to the beach…
